This has been out for awhile. Alex will be directing the live action version of the Nickelodeon show Ben 10. His son apparently is a big fan of the show. Watch the trailer (Why do they call them trailors when they are played BEFORE the movie and are released BEFORE the film?):

Alex Winter, star of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and a voice actor on Saul of the Mole Men will direct a live-action Ben 10 feature that will premiere in December. Winter stated at the 2007 Upfront presentation that he wants "this thing to look like X-Men, " an epic adventure that will be "more cinematic than cartoony" and appeal to all ages. Casting on the film is under way and the production is expected to wrap in October. CG effects and characters will be used, but Winter promises the film will feature "no Jar Jar." Winter previously directed a CG animated global advertising campaign for Tony the Tiger, and expressed a deep interest in the rapidly advancing technology.

An animated feature film based on the Ben 10 series will precede the live-action film with a November release. In the animated film, Ben accidentally sets the Omnitrix on self-destruct and must find its creator to shut it down. CN's Michael Ouweleen described the film's villain as "like Darth Vader without the sense of humor."

In case you haven't heard, the very essence of what makes the internet great is being threatened by "double-crossing corporate greaseballs." Alex is helping campaign for net neutrality and has directed a series of TV spots. Visit savetheinternet for more info.

Alex is currently working on developing a biopic about Napster creator Shawn Fanning for MTV.  Tentatively titled Downloaded: The Rise and Fall of Napster, the film will chronicle the rise of Napster from a small time dorm room filesharing program into its becoming a subject of an all out media frenzy and record company litigious onslaught.

Crossroads Films has optioned the dark comedy spec "Acts of Charity," written by Chips Hardy.

Alex  is attached to direct the pic, which follows the trials and tribulations of a young corporate executive sent on a humanitarian mission in the African jungle. Story was developed by Hardy and Winter.

Tom Stern has directed the new Music Video for the Russian Band ANJ. It features nice looking Russian Women, Zombies, and Gorbachev's glistening pecs... Tom Stern has this to say about it:

"I did this video for a Russian Metal Band called ANJ. It is pretty crazy. When I saw the lyrics it seemed to be an earnest tribute to Mikael Gorbachov (that's how the Russians spell it), so I was a bit confounded about what the video concept should be, but then I had a brainstorm to take it way over the top and I think it was just the thing. Suffice to say it's half Russian History allegory as told through an old zombie movie made in the Soviet Union, and half animated Soviet Propaganda posters. It's in HD, so let it load a bit before you play it and then click the little "four arrows" symbol on the lower right part of the viewer to see it in true HD. BTW- the band has asked that I include their myspace address: myspace.com/anjkill " Visit Tom Stern's VIMEO PAGE for more info.
